On the evening of 14th March 2026, The Post House in Stafford was transformed into a world of intrigue, elegance, and unmistakable Bond‑style glamour. Members of the Izaak Walton Lodge, together with their partners and guests, arrived dressed to impress, some channelling suave secret agents, others embodying the mystique of classic Bond characters. From the moment the first “good evening” was exchanged, it was clear this would be a Ladies Evening unlike any other.
The night began with a stylish drinks reception, where glasses sparkled, laughter flowed, and conversation buzzed. The room quickly filled with the warmth and charm that only a Freemasons’ gathering can create. As guests toasted to friendship and fellowship, the unmistakable spirit of the Bond theme wove gently through the atmosphere.
Soon, everyone was escorted to their seats for a hearty three‑course meal that lived up to every expectation. Plates were cleared, compliments were exchanged, and the culinary delights set the perfect tone for the festivities that followed.
But beyond the glamour and the good company, there was a deeper purpose to the evening. Under the leadership of Worshipful Master Leigh Dancer, the Lodge dedicated the occasion to supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, a lifesaving service that has long been close to the heart of the Lodge and the wider community. Through generosity, raffles, and the collective goodwill of all present, an incredible £1,000 was raised. A truly outstanding achievement, and one that would no doubt make even M’s eyebrow rise in approval.
With dinner complete and spirits high, the night shifted into its next chapter. Jamie and his disco took command of the room, filling the dance floor from the first beat to the final chord. From smooth moves that would impress even the most seasoned MI6 operative to lively group dances that erupted in contagious laughter, the celebrations carried on joyfully until midnight.
As the lights dimmed and the final guests made their goodbyes, one thing was certain, the 2026 Ladies Evening had been a mission thoroughly accomplished.
And in true Bond fashion, the night left its mark with a few fitting words…
The drinks were shaken, the funds were stirred, and thanks to everyone’s generosity, the world became just a little safer.
